Los Angeles, known as L.A. is the second most populous city and metropolitan area after New York. Culture and entertainment
As the entertainment and movie capital of the world, there is always something happening in the City of Angels. From movie premiers, restaurant and club openings, to one of the many annual award shows held in the city, there is never a dull moment in LA.
The Grammys honor outstanding achievement in the recording arts, as voted by people in the recording industry and is held annually at the end of January to mid-February at the Staples Center at L.A Live.
LA’s Dolby Theatre is home to the annual Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, that honors the best films of the previous year. TCL Chinese Theatre is located on Hollywood’s famous Walk of Fame and is one of LA’s oldest surviving theatres still in use and is often home to movie premiers and celebrity events.
When to visit Los Angeles?
Los Angeles has a Mediterranean style climate with warm and dry summers. Summer temperatures average 84°F (29°C) in August, and winters have an average temperature of 68°F (20°C) with lows down to 48°F (9°C) with occasional rain.
The wettest month is February and the driest months are April-October, however, the year round warm weather makes it a great city to visit anytime.
